About Us

History

Our story starts way back

The Société d’Information en Communication Sociale et Economique (SIKSE) is a Haitian civil society organization that has been operating in the country since 2006. It is committed to working towards the construction of a more just, inclusive, and equitable country where every Haitian can live and thrive with dignity. It also advocates for a safer, more resilient, more productive, and more prosperous society.

SIKSE simultaneously focuses on conducting studies, research, and implementing projects. It aspires to become a leading ‘Knowledge Management Center’ in the Caribbean region, specializing in scientific research and technical and/or scientific projects.

What defines us?

Our Vision: A world in which every woman, every man, and every child attains the right to protection, development, participation, and health, while living in harmony with their environment.

Our mission is to inspire progress in the way the world treats women, children, and vulnerable groups in order to create immediate and long-term changes in their lives.
To this end, SIKSE supports the strengthening of the economic development capacities of disadvantaged communities; it supports initiatives for gender equality, the fight against violence, food security, resilience, and adaptation to climate change; it mobilizes resources and fosters the exchange of knowledge.

SIKSE always prioritizes the search for innovative, sustainable, and effective solutions through strategic partnerships with local organizations, international institutions, universities, and research centers. It ensures that the strengthening of governance (inclusive, participatory, and democratic), respect for human dignity, environmental protection, and more are systematically integrated into all its programs and actions.

We work in all the Haitian Departments
